Position
- Recommended Position: Oppose unless amended.
- The bill would require this group to include an assessment by the California Energy Commission on potential incentives and regulatory barriers for this phase out. This would affect all local and county governments, and also affect jobs. The study only focuses on EV charging.
- They discuss about removing gas when EV’s are still not affordable and reliable.
- No proper infrastructure, with current strategies relying too much on outsourcing.
- Poor battery quality causes fires that even the fire department can’t put out.
- There’s no efficient money to subsidize it for the underserved communities.
